The grain of the sky is distracting me, tho... it looks like you did it with a grainy photograph, or maybe it's postwork... I'm no pro at all I'm just guessing
The clouds are created in PS with some brushes the same as the birds.
this photo shows the concept but is not what I seek, step by step I went perfecting it
